Open Graph & Twitter Card Generator

Generate Open Graph and Twitter/X Card tags so your links unfurl with the right title, description, and image on every social platform.

<meta property="og:title" content="">
<meta property="og:description" content="">
<meta property="og:url" content="">
<meta property="og:type" content="website">
<meta name="twitter:card" content="summary_large_image">
<meta name="twitter:title" content="">
<meta name="twitter:description" content="">

Use absolute, publicly reachable image URLs. Platforms cache previews — refresh with their debugger tools after changes.

The Preview Image Decides the Click

Link cards render the og:image far more prominently than the title — 1200×630 is the safe canvas, with critical content inside the center 1100×530 because each platform crops slightly differently. Every platform caches aggressively: after fixing an image, use the platform debugger (Facebook Sharing Debugger, Twitter Card Validator) to force a re-scrape, or the old preview persists for days. og:title duplicating <title> is a wasted slot: the SERP wants the keyword, the social card wants the promise.

How the Generator Works

  1. Enter the page title, description, URL, image URL, and site name.
  2. Choose the og:type (website or article) and the Twitter card size (summary or summary_large_image).
  3. The preview shows how the link card should render when shared.
  4. Copy the complete OG + Twitter meta block into your page <head>.
Formula & Technical Standard
og:title, og:description, og:image, og:url, og:type + twitter:card/tag/title/description/image.

Example Output

Blog article card
Input: og:type article, 1200×630 image, large card
Output: Large-image preview on X, Facebook, and LinkedIn
The 1200×630 ratio is the standard that all major platforms crop cleanly.

Common Questions

Do I need both Open Graph and Twitter tags?

X reads Open Graph tags as a fallback, but explicit twitter:card tags control the card size (summary vs large image). Generating both is the safe choice.

Why is my image not showing when I share the link?

Platforms cache link previews aggressively and require absolute, publicly reachable image URLs. After fixing tags, use the platform’s debugger to refresh the cache.
