Remove Duplicate Lines

Strip duplicate lines from any list or text with optional case-insensitive comparison, whitespace trimming, and sorting.

Processing happens in your browser — customer lists and private data never leave your device.

Case, Whitespace and Order Decide the Result

Two lines that differ only in capitalization or a trailing space are usually the same entry — enable case-insensitive comparison and whitespace trimming before concluding that a list is genuinely full of near-duplicates. Deduplication keeps the first occurrence by default, so if order matters (chronological logs, ranked lists), check whether the earliest or latest instance of each value is the one you want to keep before running the tool.

How the Transformation Works

  1. Paste your list — one entry per line — into the input box.
  2. Choose whether comparison should ignore letter case and surrounding whitespace.
  3. Optionally sort the result alphabetically before copying or downloading it.
  4. Copy the deduplicated list or download it as a .txt file.
Formula & Technical Standard
Deduplication keeps the first occurrence of each line and preserves the original order unless sorting is enabled.

Example Input & Output

Clean an email export
Input: ana@x.com\nluis@x.com\nana@x.com
Output: ana@x.com\nluis@x.com
The second occurrence of ana@x.com is removed while the original order of first appearances is preserved.
Case-insensitive keywords
Input: SEO\nseo\nSeo
Output: SEO
With case-insensitive mode enabled, entries that differ only in capitalization collapse into one.

Common Questions

Does the order of my list change?

No, unless you explicitly enable sorting. Deduplication keeps the first occurrence of every line in its original position.

Is my list uploaded to a server?

No. The processing happens entirely in your browser, which matters for customer lists and other sensitive data.
