SERP Snippet Preview

Simulate the Google search result for your title, URL, and description — with truncation warnings based on real display limits.

39 / ~60 characters
123 / ~160 characters

Example page title that is not too long

Example meta description shown in search results. Keep it informative and around 155 characters so it does not get cut off.

Approximate Google desktop rendering. Titles truncate around 580 px (~60 characters); descriptions around 160 characters.

Why Google Rewrites Titles Anyway

The preview shows what you asked for; the live SERP shows what Google decided. Titles get rewritten when they are keyword-stuffed, when they duplicate across pages, or when they exceed the pixel width — and the rewrite usually pulls from the H1 or heading structure, which is why the H1 deserves as much care as the title. Use the preview to catch truncation before publishing, then check real Search Console impressions later: a low CTR on good position is the signal that the displayed snippet does not match the query intent.

How the Generator Works

  1. Type your intended title, target URL, and meta description.
  2. The preview renders a Google-style result with desktop and mobile display widths.
  3. Title and description counters show characters used against the practical truncation limits.
  4. Iterate until nothing truncates, then copy the final values into your page.
Formula & Technical Standard
Approximate truncation: ~580 px / ~60 characters for titles, ~160 characters for descriptions.

Example Output

Catch an over-long title
Input: 72-character title
Output: Truncation warning: last words hidden behind "…"
Titles truncated mid-phrase lose clicks; the preview catches this before publishing.

Common Questions

Does Google always respect my title tag?

Not always. Google may rewrite titles it considers unhelpful, but a concise, accurate title matching page content is respected in the vast majority of cases.

Are the limits characters or pixels?

Google truncates by pixel width, which varies by letter. The tool shows both characters and an approximate pixel indicator.
